Do you apply sunscreen to your face? You use facial moisturizer with SPF, so you're protected, right? Sort of.
If your facial moisturizer has an SPF of 20, you're set for about 200 minutes. (less than 3 hrs) So when you head out for lunch, or to drive home at the end of the day, you're not protected. Seeing 90% of premature aging comes from sun damage, you've got to do better than that.
Have you heard of Eminence Sun Defense Minerals? It is a breakthrough sunscreen product that brushes on like your favorite mineral makeup. This organic powder is sweat proof and water resistant and great for children (we know how much fun applying sunscreen to kids are). Men, this is perfect for you too there's a color free version. This comes in a self contained brush tube, there is no goop, no oily mess and no wiping your makeup off (it can also replace your makeup, it comes in 5 different shades!). Stick this in your handbag or suitcase so it's always with you. Takes 3 seconds to apply your sunscreen to protect your face and your hands while driving, and you'll reap all of the benefits without the oily mess.
Still want that sun kissed look? Don't forget that your bronzer can be used on the body too!

Dear Aging:
ReplyDeleteBeing in the Aesthetic field for many years, I’ve seen and heard many truths and myths about developing a skincare routine. I believe having a daily skincare routine is the most important thing you can do to help with the overall health of your skin and prevent future skin concerns.
These steps should include washing of the skin which helps remove dirt, makeup, oil and bacteria.
Follow this step with a toner, which aids in balancing the skin’s natural ph levels, smoothes out skin tone and texture, and depending on the target skin condition, toners can also soothe the skin, reduce oil production and some are even hydrating.
Remember to exfoliate once to twice a week (depending on skin type), this step will remove the dead layer of cells and allow new cells to regenerate. Exfoliating also helps increase the skins collagen and elastin for firmer more youthful skin, but over exfoliating can dry out the skin and sometimes can be irritating to acne or reactive skin types.
Serums are a great product to add a boost to the skin, this type of product works down into the dermis, your deeper layer of skin, and can really target concerns such as aging signs and pigmentation.
The last step is to apply an appropriate moisturizer whether it’s oil free, anti aging or with an SPF; everyone needs a moisturizer, even oily skin!
